How it works

Your design starts with a conversation

Share the occasion, the look you have in mind and the details that matter to you. We guide you from design and measurements to the finished garment at your door.

  1. Design it

Choose a base style and customise it in the 3D studio, or send us an inspiration image to review.

  2. Measure once

Our step-by-step guide takes one measurement at a time. Unsure of one? Mark it and your tailor checks it.

  3. Agree dates, then pay

A tailor accepts your design and confirms a completion date. You pay only once the dates and price are agreed.

  4. Made for you

C-Mes sends your tailor the fabric and your approved specification. Changes after payment go through a formal request.

  5. Checked and delivered

Your garment comes back to C-Mes. We check it against your design, press it, pack it and deliver it.

Timing

About 28 days, door to door

For a standard order, your tailor has 14 days to make the garment. C-Mes then takes 14 days to check, repackage and deliver it to you in the UK. Your exact dates are confirmed when a tailor accepts your order.

Need it sooner?

Urgent orders

You can ask for delivery in under 28 days, from 14 days at the earliest. Urgent orders carry an extra fee for faster tailoring and for urgent handling and delivery by C-Mes. The fee is shown before you send your request.

Your tailor can accept your date, decline, or suggest the earliest date they can manage. You can accept, suggest another date or choose a different tailor. Nothing is charged until you both agree.

Fabric

We supply every fabric

Choose your fabric from the C-Mes catalogue. We buy it and send it to your tailor, which keeps quality and colour consistent. Fabric is priced separately from sewing so you can see both costs clearly.

We cannot accept fabric supplied by customers. If a fabric you chose becomes unavailable, we offer an approved alternative and ask you before anything is cut.

Our tailors

Verified before they join

C-Mes verifies each tailor’s identity and reviews their work before they can take orders. Tailors appear to you by their C-Mes code, and every conversation about your order stays on C-Mes.

Your tailor sees only the measurements your garment needs, and only after your order is confirmed.

Questions

Good to know

Is the 3D preview exactly how my garment will look?

The preview shows your choices on a mannequin shaped to your main measurements. It is a guide to style and proportion, not a guarantee of fit or drape. Your tailor works from your full measurement profile and the written specification you approve.

What if I want something that isn’t in the studio?

Add it to the notes when you send your design, or upload an inspiration image. Complex work such as corsetry, heavy beading or structural capes is quoted separately after review.

When do I pay?

After C-Mes has checked your design and a tailor has agreed the dates. You see sewing, fabric, extras and delivery as separate lines before you pay.

Can I change my design after paying?

Yes, as a change request. We confirm any new price or date with you before the tailor makes the change.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

We deliver across the UK first. International delivery is planned; contact us if you are outside the UK.

Do you make children’s clothing?

Yes, including matching family outfits. For babies and young children we avoid loose beads, stones, cords and small buttons that could be a hazard.
